BaseMTG is an independent Magic: The Gathering publication with one goal: give players the deck guides, set reviews, and card values they actually need, without hype, sponsored bias, or corporate spin.
Our mission
Magic moves fast: new sets, meta shifts, card price swings, tournament results. BaseMTG exists to cut through the noise and tell players what matters, quickly and accurately.
We believe Commander and Standard deserve the same depth of coverage as blockbuster games, without the PR spin. Our reviews are independent, our guides are tested, and our news is verified before it goes live.
